The beauty of timing

It’s one of the most limited resources we have on this planet. Some people waste it, while others cherish it. Some people have too much and others, not enough. How you spend it says a lot about you and the people you spend it on shows how much you care. Time, it’s extremely valuable. More so than we often perceive it to be, and with time it’s not just the amount we have it’s how our lives occur within the window of time we have on this earth. The beauty of timing is incredible. Let’s talk.John is sitting at home with his roommate and he’s slightly hungover from the previous days escapade and he looks down to his phone to see he received a text. The text was from a girl he was somewhat interested in and had not heard from in a while. It went something along the lines of how she did not see the relationship going any further and their schedules were not aligning and so on. John was somewhat hurt and a little bummed, but it didn’t hold him down for long because he remembered that timing is everything. If you look at “successful” people based on societies standard of the word and ask them what they did to get to where they are they may attribute it to working hard, getting the right degree, meeting the right people etc.. And at some point they will most likely attribute part of their success to timing or luck. “I was in the right place at the right time” or “I got my big break when…” and so on. The beauty of timing is that it’s almost never in our control. We live in a society where people want total control of their lives, so having something that they can’t control scares them. I say embrace it.People come and go in and out of our lives daily. We can’t control how people act or what life choices they make, but we can control the time we spend with them. Utilizing this limited resource we have is crucial. Put your time into things you are passionate about and with people you care about. Don’t be hurt by the people that come and go, it’s a part of life. Maybe the timing wasn’t right or they were only supposed to be in your life for a short period. Control what you can control and allow everything else to fall into place.Everything happens for a reason. I know its cliché, but I find it to be one of the truest principles in life. In john’s situation he initially was somewhat distraught around this girl, yet he then remembered the timing. All actions and events that happen in our lives serve some type of purpose in teaching us something. I don’t care if you’re Christian, Baptist, Catholic, Hindu, Atheist, or any other type of religion. The happenings of our lives are meant to be a lesson no matter what your belief system. The true tragedy of life is not in the event itself, but when we do not learn from the event that happens. The beauty of timing is amazing. It could be when you finally get a break through at work and get that promotion, or when you bump into your future wife on a bus in a city you’re visiting. It’s something we can’t control yet need to appreciate more often. Remember to control what you can and allow everything else to fall in the exact place it was meant to be.On purpose,Matt
